Launched one year ago, the call for innovative urban projects "Reinventing Paris", focused on 22 venues across the capital, attracted 372 applications from the all over the world.
All throughout January, majority and opposition leaders worked alongside experts from France and abroad, hearing the teams, reviewing their projects, and selecting the best.
This Wednesday, 3 February, Anne Hidalgo unveiled the list of winners at Pavillon de l'Arsenal. The call for innovative urban projects "Reinventing Paris" attracted professionals from every continent:
The 22 winning projects represent over €1.3bn in private investment, illustrating the attractiveness of Paris to French and international investors.
Their implementation will create 2,000 jobs each year for at least three years, in the construction sector.
"Innovation is a powerful driver opening up new realms of possibility. The City of Paris showed it has realised this too, by wholeheartedly entrusting the sites to the project team. The outcome has exceeded our expectations, as each project just overflows with ingeniousness." stated Anne Hidalgo. "Reinventing Paris will radically change the way we conceive of the city".
