Tuesday 7th of April, “Paris, Innovation hotspot”was the topic of the latest Matinée Internationale held a the Institut des Etudes Avancées in the famous Hôtel de Lauzun.
The conference was chaired by Mr Jean-Louis MISSIKA, Vice-Mayor of Paris in charge of Urban planning, Architecture, the Greater Paris projects, Economic Development and Attractiveness, and hosted by Mrs Gretty Mirdal, Director of the Institut d’Etudes Avancées de Paris.
The meeting started with Mr Jean-Louis Missika presenting “the important projects launched by the City of Paris”: Reinventing Paris, the Arch of Innovation and the internationalization of the Parisian ecosystem. Then, Mr Jean-Louis Blanc, EXCOM Member, Commercial, Innovation and New Business Director GDF-SUEZ pointed out “the interaction of GDF-SUEZ with the Parisian ecosystem”. Finally, Mr Sébastien Couturier, Head of Innovation at Aéroports de Paris showed the benefits of a dynamic innovation ecosystem using the example of Aéroports de Paris and shared his view on some innovative projects carried out in Paris such as the passenger experience, the smart airport in the smart city, and the internationalization of experiments.
The event gathered around 50 people from 12 nationalities.
