Evercontact raises 1 million euros to establish itself in the USA
The venture capital fund Axa Strategic Ventures has just invested 1 million euros in the company Evercontact, a publisher of solutions for the extraction and automatic updating of the information included in e-mail signatures.
The start-up wanted to accelerate its growth in the USA and acquire new customers by opening an office in San Francisco. Evercontact has already raised 1.2 million euros from private investors in a first round of investment in 2012.
Since its creation in 2011, the start-up has analysed over a billion emails to update the contact details received in the mail boxes of its users. The tool, which is available free or by subscription for a premium version ($59 per year), currently has over 100,000 users and operates with Gmail, Google for Work, Outlook, Office 365 and Salesforce.
The online offer was boosted in November 2014 by the addition of an IOS application.
Evercontact is currently hosted in the "Smart Data for Customer Intelligence" incubation programme supported by Paris&Co Incubateurs and AXA Global Direct. The start-up was also recently integrated into the Ubi i/o system of BPI France and Business France (formerly Ubifrance) which throws start-ups into immersion in Silicon Valley for 10 weeks to help them to become established.
Evercontact hopes to have 20 employees by the end of the year and to achieve even greater fund raising with American investors.
